A LURISTAN BRONZE AXE-HEAD CIRCA 1200-1000 B.C. The ribbed shaft with four conically tipped butt-spikes, the downward curving blade with central arrow in low relief, mounted, 8 7/8 in. (22.5 cm.) long; a Luristan bronze short-sword with crescentic pommel, the hilt and pommel flanged to take inlays, the blade with midrib and penannular guard, circa 1200-1000 B.C., 13 5/8 in. (34.6 cm.) long; a Luristan bronze bottle-shaped finial support with central pin, late 2nd millennium B.C., with additional Luristan style ibex finial, the pair of rampant confronting ibex each with stylized figure standing on its rump, mounted, 13¼ in. (33.6 cm.) high assembled; and a Luristan style bronze whetstone terminal socket as the forepart of an ibex, its forelegs tucked beneath, with high curving ridged horns and small beard, mounted, 6½ in.
