Lot consists of (A) Smith & Wesson Model 1 - 1/2 single action revolver. Made circa 1880s. Barrel rib is marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D JAN 17 & 24. 65/JULY 11. 65. AUG. 24. 69. FEB. 20. 1877. REISSUE JULY 25. 1871". Top of the frame is marked "PAT'D APR.20.73/& DEC.18.1877". Matching serials on the butt, cylinder face, stop latch and hand numbered on the right grip panel. Round barrel with full rib and half moon front sight. Factory nickel finish with a blued top latch. Case colored checkered trigger and hammer. Brown hard rubber grips with "S&W" marked at the top. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish, with general wear and some light areas of brown patina forming. Grips are solid with some wear. The inside of the left panel is cracked around the screw hole. Bore has some light pitting about mid way through the barrel. Strong rifling retained. Hammer and cylinder are tight. Mechanically fine. (B) English made Archer flintlock pistol. Made circa 1800's in England, presumably in London. British proofs on the barrel. Round smooth bore barrel, stepped barrel with no sights. Finish looks to have been original a form of bluing, having worn to a bare finish. Brass trigger guard and butt. Oil finished walnut grip. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish, with wear and some areas of cleaned pitting. Some pitting still visible on the stock line. Brass is dull with some tarnish. Grip has some light chips and cracks around the lock. There is also a large crack/repair mark in front of the trigger guard. Pitted bore. Mechanically operable.
