Manufactured from 1859 to 1874. Lot consists of: (A) Model 1B variation with blued 2 - 1/2" barrel cluster chambered in .22 RF, brass pin sight, frame notch rear sight, silver-plated brass frame, and smooth walnut grips. Approximately 3,200 of this variation were made. CONDITION: Very Good. Majority of blue has turned to a chocolate patina. Significant portions of silver are retained on the frame with wear, especially on the right side. Grips very good with impressions. Poor bores. Firing pin does not consistently rotate when cocked. (B) Model 4C variation with blued 3" barrel cluster chambered in .32 RF, brass pin front sight, frame notch rear, silver-plated frame, and walnut bird's head grips. Approximately 4,000 of this variation were made. CONDITION: Fine. Significant portions of high polish blue are retained with balance thinning to gray/brown patina. Frame retains the vast majority of its silver finish, showing some thinning and freckling. Grips have a few spots of finish loss and minor impressions. Shootable bores and good mechanics.
