Lot consists of: (A) 1862 vintage Colt Model 1860 Army percussion revolver, serial number 60557. 8" round barrel in .44 caliber with German silver blade front sight and hammer notch rear. 1 piece walnut grips with faint traces of cartouches on either side. Martial sub-inspector marks in typically seen places, with cylinder marked with a "P" proof but no sub-inspector marks. CONDITION: Good, as rehabilitated, with finishes turned a brown patina with handling and storage marks throughout. Rammer is a replacement and retains bright case colors but does not work correctly as it is not attached to barrel and is simply sitting in rammer slot. Frame and trigger guard have been forced to match barrel serial number. Grips have heavy handling marks and chips on either panel near toe. Good mechanics. Bore is dark with heavy abrasion and visible rifling. (B) 1863 vintage Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver, serial number 167270. 7 - 1/2" octagon barrel in .36 caliber with cone front sight and hammer notch rear. 1 piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good, with barrel cleaned and polished, rammer replaced, and barrel address enhanced. Cylinder is missing a nipple and has been cleaned to match the finish on barrel assembly, but cylinder scene is mostly present. Grips are very good as sanded and refinished with minor chips at high edges. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is dark with heavy abrasion and visible rifling. Lot is complete with a modern manufactured wooden case with purple velvet interior. Case is excellent with minor handling marks.
