Gun (A) is a Colt Lightning six shot, double action revolver with nickel finish and Colt black composite grips. This is referred to as the Sheriff's Model, made without ejector. Manufactured 1893. Indexes sporadically. Strong bore. 50% original nickel, balance patina. Matching numbers. Grips are original to gun showing wear and smoothness. Gun (B) is a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Model single action percussion revolver. All matching numbers on frame, barrel, trigger guard, loading lever, cylinder and wedge. Has etched stagecoach robbery scene at 70%. Cylinder is grey patina. Frame and barrel retain about 60% reapplied finish. Strong legends. Excellent, original varnished one piece grips. 70% nickel on backstrap and trigger guard. Indexes perfectly. Strong, clean bore. Manufactured 1861, starting year for New York, U.S. America barrel stamp. Nice, tight revolver.
