A large Indian presentation metalware casket / cigar box, unmarked, circa 1930, rectangular form, the hinged cover chased with elephants and mythical animals and birds, with chased foliate scroll decoration on a matted background, and with a peacock finial, inscribed 'Presented by The Committee of The Radio Club of Ceylon and South India and a Few Friends to Mr. E. Harper, Chief Engineer Telegraph Dept. Ceylon on his retirement in appreciation of his exceptional services to Broadcasting in Ceylon. 15-9-31', the sides with similar decoration, on four mythical animal feet, the interior wood lined, length 33.9cm.
