A large group of Persian pottery vessels comprising a tall jar with waisted neck and flaring lip, the shoulder painted with panels of cross-hatching and diamond-type patterns, the neck with border of alternating black and white squares -- 7 1/8in. (8.1cm.) high; a tripod jar with two lug handles, the body painted with bands of swags, cross-hatching and vertical lines, the feet with herringbone pattern -- 4¼in. (10.8cm.) high; another similar -- 4½in. (11.4cm.) high; a jar with painted geometric band at the shoulder -- 2¾in. (7cm.) high; another in orangeware -- 3 3/8in. (8.6cm.) high; another with single painted handle and encircling bands -- 3in. (7.7cm.) high; a large plainware bowl with conical body tapering to flat base -- 5¾in.
