A LARGE GROUP OF PERSIAN POTTERY VESSELS, comprising a large pale creamy-orange beak-spouted jug with serrated and pierced bridge, ring handle, with finely incised bands of linear and triangular decoration around the shoulder; another spherical jar, similar, on flat base with long beak-spout, the shoulder with vertical bands of zigzag and hatching -- both 11 in. (28 cm.) high max.; a grey thin-walled globular flask with conical neck, the handle with thumb-rest, decorated with finely incised cross-hatched and hatched triangles -- 10½ in. (26.6 cm.) high; an orange spouted jar, the side handle with curled thumb-rest -- 6.3/8 in. (16.1 cm.) high; and eight other vessels -- 10¼ in. (26 cm.) high max., all 1st millennium B.C. (12)
