19th century and later, of pine veneered with oak, elm, walnut, burl walnut and other woods, the projecting molded rectangular cornice over a dentil molding over a frieze with shaped oblong panels applied with raised scrolled motifs, over two hinged doors with hand forged iron hardware, the panels applied with conforming scrolled motifs and with carved portrait heads, and inlaid with arches enclosing applied palmettes, divided by conformingly decorated engaged columnar supports ring on carved scrolled corbels, over a plinth base enclosing two drawers, on bun feet, 90.5'' H x 73.25'' W x 27'' D, est: $3500/5000
Provenance: Property of an Estate, Montecito, CA. Condition: Overall good condition. Refinished. Original fixed shelves removed (not retained). Interior with later-added supports for adjustable shelves. No shelves included. Several inconsequential repairs to rear panel. The drawers reconstructed with later sides, bottoms and glides. A 2'' x 8.5'' area of over-painted restoration to left side panel. A 2.25'' Dia. drilled hole to rear panel. Areas of woodworm holes scattered throughout, including to front. The legs replaced and newer. No key.
