A Japanese ivory netsuke of a bearded sennin 18th and 19th Century, some signed carved standing wearing long robes, holding a gnarled staff in his left hand -- 1 7/8in. (4.8cm.) high; an ivory netsuke of a bail of straw with a fly seated on top -- 2in. (5cm.) long; an ivory netsuke of a three elephants, on a triangular base -- 1¼in. (3.3cm.) wide; an ivory netsuke of a lady carrying her child on her back -- 2in. (5cm.) high; an ivory netsuke of a bearded immortal, seated holding a staff with attached scroll -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) high; an ivory netsuke of a snake-charmer, carved seated holding a snake appearing from a basket at his feet -- 1¼in. (3.3cm.) wide; an ivory netsuke of budai, carved carrying a large sack and revealing his belly -- 2in. (5.1cm.) high; and an ivory netsuke of two boys standing either side of a large ball -- 1¾in. (4.4cm.) wide. (8)
