A JACQUES CALLOT (1592-1635): BALLI DI SFESSANIA The set of twenty-four etchings on laid paper, 1621, with thin or thread margins, presumably first state (of three) before the addition of numbers, matted and framed in groups of eight. All 3 x 3 3/4 in. (plate), 19 x 13 1/2 in. (frame). Note: The etchings in Callot's album Balli di Sfessania depict Neapolitan dances known as Sfessania in the local dialect.
