High Condition Remington Number 2 Rolling Block Sporting Rifle with 24" tapered octagon barrel chambered in .22 LR. Marble's rifle flip-up rear sight with Marble's blade front with period Marble's tang sight. Case hardened action and rifle buttplate. 2-piece plain walnut stock and Schnabel forearm complete with ebony forearm tip. CONDITION: Excellent to excellent plus, retaining nearly all of the original bluing on barrel with the exception of peening near rear and front sight dovetails and light age-related handling marks throughout. Action retains bright original case colors throughout. Stock and forearm are excellent and retain nearly all of their original finish with scattered handling marks but no major signs of distress. Action works correctly and is tight. Bore is clean, bright, and shiny with sharp rifling. A high condition example of a handy, extremely popular sporting rifle.
