Sign for a Sukkah. [Europe (Italy?), second half of the 18th / first half of 19th century]. Paint and ink on cardboard. A rectangular sign meant for hanging in a Sukkah, on which a poem is written in square letters; the subject of the poem is sitting and studying in the Sukkah. Beneath the poem some inscriptions were added, among them "a person must study in the Sukkah" (Hebrew). Length: 21 cm, width: 30 cm. Fair condition. Cardboard is distorted. Stains and creases, some of which affect the text. Glue remnants on the reverse.
