A HALBERD PROBABLY GERMAN, LATE 16th CENTURY WITH 19th CENTURY ETCHED DECORATION With characteristic head with long slender spike, slightly curved axe-blade and pointed rear fluke, both sides etched with panels of scrollwork respectively including a large trophy of arms on one side and the crowned arms of the Electors of Saxony on the other, shortened side-straps, and later wooden haft studded with brass-headed tacks 25 3/4 in. (65.5cm.) head, 86 3/4 in. (220cm.) overall
