H.B. Hamilton, frontispiece inscribed Presented to Trumpet Major W. Leigh by Colonel R.C. Stephen DSO, Commdg. 14th Kings Hussars - Mhow, Central India, 1911. Entry on page 419 mentions Brown carrying a trumpeter out of action, with penciled margin note "My brother Henry." Condition: 1) Very good, some surface dirt and soiling, slight losses of paint at extreme lower right corner; 2) All very fine or better, with edge knocks to QSA and KSA, Death Plaque polished, frame damaged and unserviceable; 3) Fair, covers loose, binding cloth chipped, soiled, and separating from spine.
