A GROUP OF MAINLY CYPRIOT POTTERY VESSELS 2ND MILLENNIUM B.C. AND LATER Including a White Painted Ware bowl with twin loop handles, the lower body tapering to ring foot, each side with central crossed lines between blocks of vertical lines, 7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) diam.; another smaller with vertical sides, decorated with encircling dark bands, 4¼ in. (10.9 cm.) diam.; a Bichrome Ware shallow dish with two wishbone handles, the exterior with central segmented circle and encircling bands including a frieze of short strokes, 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) diam.; a similar ware amphora with wide neck and twin vertical handles, the body tapered to small foot, the neck with cross-hatched triangles within quatered squares, encircling bands below, 4½ in. (11.4 cm.) high, all Cypro-Geometric, 1050-750 B.C.; a 'poppy-head' juglet with offset neck and everted rim, with white painted linear decoration, 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; two Base Ring Ware jugs with round spout, decorated with bucchero-style vertical ribbing around the body, 6 in. (15.3 cm.) and 9 in. (23 cm.) high respectively, all Late Bronze Age, 1650-1050 B.C.; and a group of mainly plain ware pottery vessels, 1st millennium B.C. to Roman period (17)
