A GROUP OF CLOISONNÉ VASES THE FIRST WITH MARK OF THE OTA TAMESHIRO STUDIO, THE THIRD MARK OF THE HAYASHI KIHYOE STUDIO, MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH CENTURY) Each worked in silver or copper wire and coloured enamels on dark blue ground, the first a pair with doves in branches of cherry blossom; a vase with a bird among cherry blossoms and irises; the third with a bird beside a maple tree; the fourth a pair depicting stags in a wintery landscape and the last a plique-á-jour vase depicting peonies 24cm., 21cm., 9cm., 23cm. and 13cm. high (5)
