The gilt metal casket of oval form, the lid inset with an oval mother-of-pearl panel engraved with a floral scroll border, within a raised gilt gallery, the sides with six mother-of-pearl engraved diamond motifs, in raised mounts and divided by two winged beast handles, on open scroll feet, the lid interior with mirror over a silk squab and oval fitted cream velvet plush tray with a full complement of fittings, comprising; a cut glass scent bottle, a mother-of-pearl bodkin, a steel bladed stiletto with gilt ferrule, the carved mother-of-pearl handle with engraved pansy motif, a mother-of-pearl thimble with double gilt border, lacking pansy motif,a pair of steel bladed scissors with gilt mounts to floral jardiniere mother-of-pearl stems, mounted with dogs and oval snake loops, a combination mother-of-pearl earspoon and tweezer finely carved and with pansy motif, and a needlecase of rectangular section with cornucopia pierced and carved finial and oval pansy motif, casket 20 x 13 x 7cm.
