A gilt bronze figure of Tara Nepal, 18th century Standing in slight sway over an openwork lotus base, her right hand raised in vitarkamudra and her left lowered in varadamudra , each holding the stem of a lotus, clad in a long dhoti with incised hem and secured with a flowing sash, her shawl falling gracefully around her shoulders, further adorned with various jewelry including armlets and earrings inset with hardstones, her face with almond-shaped eyes centered with an urna , her hair secured with an elaborate foliate tiara with a hardstone at center and backed with a flaming aureola 6¾ in. (17.1 cm.) high
