(A) GERMAN MODEL 1841 BOLT ACTION NEEDLE RIFLE .60 CAL RIFLED

German Model 1841 bolt action needle rifle. Made "1858" as dated on the right side of the receiver. Matching serials on the chamber and bolt components. Barrel does not match. Imperial eagle proofs on the chamber and barrel. "SOEMMERDA N.D" marked on the left side of the receiver. The left side of the stock has a sticker marked "Fusil DREYSE (Allemand)/trouve sue le Champ de Bitaille/Frontwiller?" Possible a war trophy from the Franco-Prussian war? Right side of the stock has two imperial cartouches. Blade front sight with 3 position flip up rear. Metal is still in the white, with brown patina forming in areas. Brass stock bands and trigger guard. Stock was lightly sanded at some point. CONDITION: Metal has patina forming in most areas with general wear. Stock has light wear and a few dings/scratches. Rifled bore has some frosting and pitting in the grooves, but rifling remains strong. Seems mechanically fine.
