A GERMAN BLACK AND WHITE HALF-ARMOUR in late 16th Century style, comprising burgonet with one-piece skull, three prominent bright bands and fall with turned and roped edge, deep hinged cheekpieces pierced with ventilation holes, and single rear gorget plate, breast-plate struck with spurious Nuremberg mark and with central projection and bold roped turns across the neck and bordering the moveable armhole gussets, skirt of three lames, the bottom one pierced for a codpiece (missing), long tassets of seven lames, their lower halves detachable, back-plate with narrow seperate culet lame, almain collar with elbow-length spaudlers, arm defences including cowters, and mitten gauntlets, roped recessed borders and longitudinal raised bands, all bright throughout
