A George III ormolu mounted ebonised musical bracket clock, for the Turkish market, the case with pinapple finials to bell top applied with ormolu floral mounts, pierced foliate ormolu sound frets and handles to sides, the plinth with heavy foliate ormolu mouldings and on foliate scroll feet, the arched dial signed Geo, Prior London on a shaped enamel plaque to the arch and flanked by subsidiary enamel rings (hair cracks) for strike/silent and four music selection for march/air/song/minuet, the enamel chapter disc, with Turkish chapters and pierced blued hands (later minute hand), the gilt metal mask with floral engraving, the six pillar triple fusee (wire lines) movement with original knife-edge verge escapement and chiming on eleven bells via .31/2in. long pin barrel, hour strike on further bell, the back plate with typical floral engraving and signed George Prior, London within a foliate cartouche, securing brackets to case 28½in. (72.5cm.) high
