He died as a teenager on 23 August 1792 in Blackpool, Lancashire. He drowned whilst bathing in the sea at Blackpool, Lancashire. The Tipping family lived in Ardwick, a highly fashionable suburb of Manchester in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, where the very wealthy, such as Nathan Mayer Rothschild and John Rylands, built their mansions.
