(15 cm.) wide brass dial with Indian mask and foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic dial with diamond half-hour markers, matted centre with mock pendulum aperture, signed on a silvered plaque above the date aperture 'Jam.s Vick/London', strike/not strike lever by III, with pendulum regulation to the arch, the eight day movement with five pillars, twin gut fusees and verge escapement with spring-suspended pendulum, hour strike on bell and pull quarter repeat on a nest of six bells, the back plate profusely engraved with scrolls and foliage and with sliding holdfast 15 in. (38 cm.) high (handle down); 9¼ in. (23 cm.) wide; 5¾ in. (13 cm.) deep
