The fifth map, folding, hand-colored and on thin paper, is "Specimen of the County Maps to be Constructed by virtue of an Act of the Legislature, directing the formation of a Map of Pennsylvania," showing a stretch of the Susquehannah River with Harrisburg. Pages 167-171 comprise a catalogue of Melish's publications, pages 172-182 deal with proposed publications and the need of a map for certain areas.
