A GARNITURE OF THREE DUTCH DELFT TOBACCO JARS 18TH CENTURY Decorated with cartouches in blue and named on an ochre ground, T over DE and Rape, Havre and St Vincent, makers mark B.P.; and two other tobacco jars named for Rappe and Straas Bruger, both by the Pieter van Marksvelde de Grieksche factory, all with brass covers (10) 33cm and 30cm Condition Report: B RAPPEE: The jar is essentially intact. small bashes to the tin-glaze all over and lots of rim chips. St. VINCENT: Chips to neck rim and crack to rim. Body though relatively un-marked and without cracks. Base marked B:P. HAVRE: small glaze chips to rim. Body relatively un-marked and without cracks. STRAASBURGER: Surface scratched and lots of glaze lifted and missing from the rim. Other general bashes to the glaze of the body. No serious cracks. A/PVMV mark. RAPE NO. 32: Restored areas to the rim. B:P mark. Caveat: Not all of the covers are necessarily right or contemporaneous to the pots. They are what they are. Condition Report Disclaimer
