A French silver and silver-gilt travel necessaire with the arms of Alexandre Edmond de Talleyrand-Périgord (1813-1898), Marquis of Talleyrand-Périgord, Duke of Dino the case signed Aucoc Aîné, the silver pieces, mainly Charles-Auguste Péret, the chocolate pot, Pierre-Noël Blaquière, the spoons and fork, Pierre-Antoine-Gabriel Gerbu the knives, Antoine-Vital Cardeilhac, circa 1835 guilloché pattern, each piece engraved or pierced with the arms of Talleyrand and his motto RE QUE DIOU, comprising teapot (with detachable tortoise handle), chocolat pot (detachable tortoise handle), cream jug, beaker, two cylindrical tubes, rectangular candle holder, cylindrical box, circular oil lamp, egg cup, two pairs of cut glass flasks with silver covers, two pairs of cut glass cylindrical boxes, two other boxes, a larger circular box, five rectangular boxes, cut glass inkstand with silver cover, dessert spoon, dessert fork, silver-gilt tea spoon, cheese knife, fruit knife, a steel corkscrew, two hair brushes, three accessories, two with tortoise handles, leather razor and a folder containing three large pages of pink blotting paper, one written Mr Duplan greffier du 8e Ardent Place des Vosges Paris, within a mahogany fitted case signed Aucoc aîné Rue de la Paix, 4 bis Paris, the cover inset with the arms and motto of the Talleyrand-Périgord family, inlayed with brass Quantity: 41 le coffre: 52,5 x 27 x 16 cm; the case: 20 2/3 by 10 1/2 by 6 1/3 in.
