A French 'Japonisme' ormolu and cloisonne enamel jardiniere Possibly by Ferdinand Barbedienne Last quarter 19th Century Of rectangular form with a guilloche rim, the front with an enamel reserve centred by a ho-ho bird, the reverse with a geometric reserve against a red and yellow ground, flanked on each side by a scrolled handle terminating in a grotesque mask, above a pierced fretwork base and butterfly-mounted scrolled feet, the underside stamped 27825 13¼ in. (33.6 cm.) high; 24 in. (61 cm.) wide; 10 in. (25.4 cm.) deep
