CIRCA 1775, BLUE CROWNED CT MARKS AND VARIOUS INCISED MARKS, THREE PIECES WITH BLUE 74 MARK FOR 1774, BLUE 7 TO CUP AND 71 TO JUG
A FRANKENTHAL PART SOLITAIRE CIRCA 1775, BLUE CROWNED CT MARKS AND VARIOUS INCISED MARKS, THREE PIECES WITH BLUE 74 MARK FOR 1774, BLUE 7 TO CUP AND 71 TO JUG Stippled and painted in iron-red with scantily clad reclining ladies in landscape vignettes, two scenes with Cupid and one with a peacock, possibly emblematic of Juno, surrounded by scattered flower-sprays below gilt loop and lozenge borders, comprising: a deep lozenge-shaped tray, a baluster-shaped teapot, a squat baluster milk-jug on three scroll feet and a coffee-cup and saucer (minute areas of wear to gilding, teapot with cover lacking, very small chip to spout and small chip to inside edge of upper rim, minute chip or flake to rim of cup) The tray 29 cm. wide; the teapot 11.4 cm. high (4)
