A Fragmentary Roman Marble Figure of a Dancing Satyr, circa 2nd Century A.D. standing on his toes with his left leg forward on a profiled circular base, a goat skin draped over the tree-trunk support; the upper part of the figure and the proper left lower leg formerly restored in marble. Total height 55.5 cm. 21 7/8 in.; height without plinth 49 cm. 19 1/4 in.
