A FLEMISH MYTHOLOGICAL TAPESTRY BRUSSELS, EARLY 18TH CENTURY, AFTER JOHANNES DE REYFF, POSSIBLY BY HENDRIK II REYDAMS Woven in wools and silks, depicting Jupiter and Pandora from the series of The Adventures of Jupiter and Mercury , the King of the Gods depicted giving Pandora a box with Minerva, Mercury, Diana, Juno, Vulcan, Venus, Cupid and Ceres, while a soldier and people look on, beside a column topped by an urn and a peacock, within a woodland clearing, in the distance to the right is a castle, to the right men are working in a forge, to the right a group of nymphs, all within a simulated picture frame-border 344 cm. high x 499 cm. wide
