A finely built and detailed electrified 1:24 scale display model of James Watt's Double-acting Rotative Beam Engine of circa 1788 built by H. Clarkson & Son, with cylinder approximately ¾in. bore x 2½in. stroke, top and bottom valve chests with rod driven gab valve gear and separate steamways, simple parallel motion, metal furnished wooden beam on an 'A' frame with wooden bracing, rod driven air and feed pumps, condenser and hotwell, braced connecting rod and sun and planet gear, rope driven Watt governor and spoked flywheel with internal and external toothed rings, finished in black and matt varnish and mounted in a simulated tiled floor with plate engraved '½4 scale model of James Watt's Double-Acting Rotative Beam Engine Circa 1788 by H.Clarkson & Son, York - England' .
