A Fine Scale Model Of The Essex Class Carrier U.S.S. Intrepid Pennant No. 11 Fine Art Models; American, ca. 1998 built in 1/192 scale, the hull of the model is a pre-formed resin hull with a rust-red painted bottom, a black waterline and grey topsides. The deck of the model is also painted grey and is from photo etched 1/32" plywood with details that include expansion joints, catapult tracks, arresting wires, etc. The superstructure is well detailed and includes railings, ladders, range finders, search lights, mainmast with radar screens, radio antennae, flag halyards, etc. Other details include: 4-double 5" gun turrets, bofors, anti-aircraft guns, float boxes, hangar doors, life rings, propellers, rudder, cranes, dory and numerous other details.
