A FINE AND RARE CASED 80-BORE WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT FIVE-SHOT SELF-COCKING SIDE-HAMMER PERCUSSION POCKET REVOLVER BY WESTLEY RICHARDS, 170, NEW BOND ST., LONDON (PATENTEE), SERIAL NO. 107 FOR 1853 With blued octagonal sighted barrel signed in full, case-hardened slightly rebated cylinder, case-hardened border and scroll engraved frame with platinum-weighted gravitating hammer safety-stop on the right side, blued barrel locking-catch, chequered figured walnut spurred butt, blued border and scroll engraved trigger-guard and butt-cap, the latter with hinged trap-cover, retaining nearly all its original finish throughout, no provision for a rammer, London proof marks, in original fitted oak case, lined with green baize, with accessories including Sykes revolver flask, sealed Joyce percussion cap tin retaining its marbled paper, and brass triple-cavity 'WD' ball mould, the lid with Westley Richards trade label, the exterior with shaped brass escutcheon engraved 'Sir F.
