A FINE AND RARE CASED 54-BORE ADAMS & TRANTER PATENT FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER RETAILED BY COGSWELL & HARRISON, 223 & 224, STRAND, LONDON, SERIAL NO. 19362.T, CIRCA 1860 With blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle, blued border engraved top-strap signed in full by the retailer, bright cylinder cut with a decorative roped band at the front edge, blued border engraved frame, blued arbor-pin, arbor-pin-catch and cylinder, bright hammer and trigger, chequered walnut butt, border engraved trigger-guard and butt-cap, and bright rammer, retaining much original blued finish throughout, London proof marks, in original fitted oak case lined in green baize with accessories including brass double-cavity bullet mould, the lid with Cogswell & Harrison trade label, the exterior with circular brass escutcheon 5 7/8in. (15cm.) barrel
