A CONTINENTAL EARLY 20TH CENTURY HEART SHAPED PEARL AND GARNET SET LOCKET ON FANCY LINK CHAIN The heart shaped locket set with graduated half pearls and a central raised claw set oval cut garnet, the locket with black enamelled decoration, opening to reveal a vacant inner chamber, the suspensory loop stamped with French import poinçon, suspended from an associated fancy link chain, the rope twist links with beaded accents, to a later ring bolt clasp Size/dimensions: heart 2.6cm long, chain 39cm long Gross weight: 23.2 grams Condition Report: The pendant is 2.4cm wide. There is glue to some of the inner ring of half pearls and one of the larger pearls looks like it has been reset, one of the small pearls looks like it may need a slight reset, but is currently in the setting, the garnet is slightly off straight and is missing a claw tip, there is a lot of chipping to some areas of the black enamel, sections lost, wear to the setting and hinge, but the hinge is still in good useable order, the locket remains closed when moved. There is thinning to the suspensory loop and the chain has a lot of wear, some of the links are almost worn through, the clasp and ends are later added. Condition Report Disclaimer
