A Continental 80-Bore Percussion Four-Shot Pepperbox Revolver Of Mariette Patent Type, And A Cased Continental .32 Rim-Fire Four-Shot Deringer Both 19th CenturyThe first with twist turn-off barrels numbered from '1' to '4' and corresponding to the breeches, rounded action with nipple-shield pierced for access to the nipples and decorated with foliate scrollwork, integral butt decorated en suite and with an explosion at the bottom, ring-trigger and under-hammer, and rounded ebony grips; the second with hinged fluted barrel-block tipping-up for loading, inlaid in gold 'A Liège' along the top and damascened in silver with scrolling arabesques, the action and butt (grips missing) decorated en suite, hammer with sprung rotating nose, and spur trigger: in relined and refitted mahogany case, the interior or the lid with original trade label (damaged) of William Golden Huddersfield, the veneered exterior with circular vacant brass escutcheon (2) 6.7 cm. and 8 cm. barrels
