comprising the diary of Henry Martin being a type written diary in later binding, covering October 11th 1899 through to Friday May 18th 1900, together with a photograph album containing a number of images of Mafeking during the siege, images of Baden-Powell and general images of South Africa, two brass shell cases purported to have come from the siege, a Martingale cut from the harness of a horse brought down during the siege, the reverse scratched with the name DREW, a set of dog tags to a Capt. Drew S.A.M.C., an 1822 pattern officers sword with Zuid Afrika etched blade, contained in its field service scabbard and a large dining cloth signed and drawn upon by a contingent of Portugese soldiers and officers thanking a Doctor Drew for attending to them during 1917.
