A COMPLETE SET OF 20 ENAMELED 'FALCON' WINE CUPSSigned Yongxi of Tianjin, cyclically dated to the jiwei year, 12th month, corresponding to 1920
Each set over a slightly tapered foot, the deep walls broadening toward the rim, one side of the exterior painted with a falcon perched on a stick and tethered to it by a rope, its plumage in graduated gray tones with a black tail and head, all against a sky-blue ground, the opposite side inscribed Yao guang xiang ji, jiwei mei yue shanghuan, Yongxi zuo yu jinmen (The Comprehensive Collection of Lustrous Jade, jiwei year, first 10 days of the 12th month, made by Yongxi of Tianjin), followed by a red oval seal with illegible script, the rim gilt, the base of each sequentially numbered in black enamel from 1 to 20, with the original fabric box with two tiers of fitted compartments.
