1863 vintage Colt 1860 Army, serial number 117079. 8" round barrel in .44 caliber rifled with blade front sight and hammer notch rear. Full coverage engraved in American Civil War motif with left side of gun in a Union motif featuring Abraham Lincoln on the cylinder and the right side of the gun in a Confederate motif with Robert E. Lee on the cylinder. Engraved by well-known Texas engraver D. W. Harris. 1 piece plain ivory grips. Complete with painted wooden fitted case with black base and purple Pollock-esque splatters on exterior with purple velvet interior with white borders and a plaque reading: "THIS 1860 MODEL COLT ARMY REVOLVER WAS PRODUCED IN 1862 FOR SERVICE IN THE UNION ARMY. IT HAS BEEN HIGHLY POLISHED, NICKEL FINISHED, AND ELABORATELY HAND ENGRAVED IN HIGH RELIEF. FEATURES INCLUDE PORTRAITS OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN AND ROBERT E. LEE, AND ENGRAVING OF WEAPONRY OF THE CONFEDERATE AND U.S. ARMIES. IT IS 133 YEARS OLD... IT IS AUTHENTIC... IT IS HISTORY!". CONDITION: Excellent with virtually all of the nickel finish remaining with scattered handling marks throughout. Grips are in matching condition with no major signs of distress. Good mechanics. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Case is very good with handling marks throughout.
