1857 vintage Colt 1851 Navy percussion revolver, serial number 75876. 7 - 1/2" octagonal barrel in .36 caliber with single line Colt Hartford, CT address, cone front sight, and hammer notch rear. 1 piece plain walnut grips. Matching serial numbers observed on butt, trigger guard, frame, barrel, wedge, cylinder, cylinder arbor, and rammer. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original bluing turned to a blue-gray patina with scattered pitting and handling marks throughout. Cylinder scene is intact and visible. Trigger guard and backstrap assembly have been re-nickel plated. Grips are strong with areas of finish loss on either side. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand.
