Cipher Department), the predecessor of the Cipher Department of the Wehrmacht, each envelope marked 'Streng Geheim!' (top secret) with date of use,

(Qty) FootnotesThis lot contains a mix of the Notschlüssel (emergency key) and Fernschreiberschlüssel (teleprinter key), as well as Zahlentafel (numeric table) envelopes. The surviving cipher key sheet for June 1920 is very rare as cipher keys were ordered to be destroyed after use, to prevent them from falling into enemy hands.
