A COALPORT (LONDON-DECORATED) ARMORIAL YELLOW-GROUND PART SERVICE FOR DESSERT, TEA AND COFFEE perhaps decorated in the studio of Thomas Baxter , the centres gilt with a coat-of-arms within gilt foliate cartouches reserved on a yellow ground painted in brown monochrome with foliage-scrolls and trailing foliage beneath a band of gilt key-pattern, the borders painted in colours and gilt with putti and birds holding swags among arabesques in green, puce and blue, the rims gilt, comprising an oval centre-dish, an oval sauce-tureen, cover and lobed stand, three shell-shaped dishes, four shaped oval dishes (one with rim chip and rim restorations, one with rim restoration), four square dishes (one with repair and with restoration to footrim, one with rim chip), eighteen plates with lobed rims (one with crack to rim), one pudding-plate, a slop-bowl (rim crack), ten teacups (one handle a restored replacement, one with rim chip), eleven coffee-cans, ten saucers (two with cracks to centres), (some rubbing to gilding), circa 1805
