Visor in the form of a mask, the oval oculars with raised borders; triangular 'mouth'; line border. Bevor shaped to the chin, the front edge guttered and rolled, the lower edge flanged and fitted with single plate gorget conforming to the neck defense. Later brass-headed lining rivets. Condition: Metal cleaned and showing areas of pitting overall; comb with two small tears; back of skull patched; righthand pivot replaced; front edge of peak patched; lower edge of visor patched below 'mouth'; bevor holed at chin.
