A chrome plated vase for the French Line (CGT) used on board the S.S. Normandie Edgar Brandt and George Bastard, circa 1935 for the suites and the deluxe staterooms on-board the ocean liner S.S. Normandie , with a flared cylindrical body with the French Line logo 'CGT' impressed near the base, supported by open-work verticle bands on a circular band of metal spheres, raised on a weighted square base, stamped 'G. Bastard'. This is the larger of the two versions. 13½ in. (34.3 cm.) height.
