A CHARLES II BEADWORK CASKET Circa 1660 Rectangular, the lid with seated female figure holding a flower, possibly representing the sense of Smell, within a grape arbor and with castles, beasts and flowers in the background, the sides with birds, leopard or lion within a landscape with fruited trees, flowers and insects within leather-banded borders, the interior now papered, the sides with lifting handles, with old retailer's inscribed paper tag 8in. (20cm.) high, 13¼in. (33.5cm.) wide, 9¾in. (25cm.) deep
