A Victorian sterling silver tea caddy spoon, belonging to Charles Dickens monogrammed "CD," George Adams, makers mark hallmarked for London, 1861.
Provenance: Charles Dickens; Georgina Hogarth (his sister-in-law and housekeeper, autograph note signed attesting to provenance).
"I certify that this silver tea caddy spoon was always used in the dining-room at Gad's Hill from the time Charles Dickens went there to live—until the day of his death 9th June 1870. Georgina Hogarth."
