A CEYLONESE PIHA-KAETTA with blade of characteristic form decorated at the forte and within the fuller along the top edge on each side with chiselled scrolling foliage overlaid with silver, and along the back with an engraved silver strip, the forte on each side with a brass panel partly chiselled and inlaid with engraved silver foliage, and carved irory grip-scales with silvered brass mounts including pommel-cap chased with foliage, in fluted wooden scabbard with deep silver filigree locket; and another, the blade overlaid with engraved silver within the fuller along the top edge, the forte engraved with foliage and inlaid with brass lines (silver pommel-cap incomplete), in carved and fluted wooden scabbard, both 18th Century 11½in. and 11¾in. (2)
