With rebrowned twist sighted barrels signed in full along the rib and each rifled for a belted ball, folding leaf back-sight calibrated to 500 yards, case-hardened breeches engraved with an antelope's head between and each with platinum line and pierced platinum plug, case-hardened tang engraved with scrolling foliage and a prone antelope, signed case-hardened scroll engraved detented locks each with safety-catch in front of the dolphin hammer, one lock engraved with a tiger in a landscape on the tail, and with an antelope on the other, highly figured half-stock with chequered grip and fore-end, cheekpiece, foliate engraved steel mounts comprising butt-plate decorated with a giraffe on the tang, blued hinged circular patch-box cover decorated with a lion attacking a serpent in a landscape, reblued trigger-guard with a prone tiger on the bow and with chequered spur, case-hardened trigger-plate with stylised pineapple finial, vacant white-metal escutcheon, and some original finish (ramrod missing): in original brass-mounted lined and fitted oak case some accessories including brass and steel bullet moulds, the latter stamped 'Westley Richards' and serial numbered to the rifle, the interior of the lid with maker's trade label (stained, some damage), the exterior with flush-fitting brass carrying handle, circular brass escutcheon and stamped 'W.S.
