A CASED .31 'MODEL 1849' FIVE-SHOT SINGLE-ACTION PERCUSSION POCKET REVOLVER COLT, LONDON, SERIAL NO. 4226 FOR CIRCA 1854 With blued octagonal sighted barrel with two line 'ADDRESS COL: COLT LONDON', cylinder with stage coach scene, case-hardened frame stamped 'COLTS PATENT', iron grip-strap and trigger-guard each retaining some original blued finish, varnished one-piece walnut grips, matching numbers throughout, and some original finish, London proof marks, in original lined and fitted mahogany factory case with accessories including Dixon 'COLTS POCKET FLASK' and Colt Patent iron bullet-mould, the lid with directions for loading and cleaning, the exterior with shaped brass escutcheon 4in (10.2cm) barrel
